Rawalpindi cantonment board failed to auction off the cattle market contract for the upcoming Eid UL Azha.

The said board try it’s best in last three attempts to implement the agenda of auction off but unable to approve it from contractors as they united against it and proves to be a great hindrance in the way of approval. In twin cities, Rawalpindi and Islamabad , a cattle market is setup in Bhata ground e in the context of Eid UL Azha every year. Last year a handsome amount of 89.5millions was awarded to the contractors of cattle market setters. This year a contract of 89.5millions as the reverse price is announced. The Rawalpindi cantonment board failed to auction off this contract despite three attempts. Contractors setup a pool of 56.5 millions as bid.On a mutual decision the cantonment board announced the may 27 will be the last date of open auction. The board decided that if the contractors does not follow the given date and continue their attitude then the board will set up a separate market with it’s own resources. Board decided to hire staff and enforcement from other departments for cattle market. Entry fee will be collected by by staff of cantonment board. Rashid Saqib one of spokesperson from cantonment board said that if the board arrange a setup cattle market on its own it would be more profitable that almost 120 to 150 millions can earned through it.So now everyone is waiting for 27th may that either the contractors submit the bids or not. If the auction process is affected due to repetitive attitude of Contract of contractors then it’s obvious that cantonment board will must arrange it’s own cattle market by human resources which is expected to be more productive and gave a good profit.
