Hardware Intelligence

The MediaTek Helio is fabricated on the latest TSMC 12nm FinFET production process. It is an Octa-core processor, with 4 ARM Cortex-A73 power cores, and 4 ARM Cortex-A53 efficient cores. It is equipped with Arm Mali-G72 GPU. It comes with a mobile APU (multi-core AI processing unit)  to generate processing performance of up to 280GMAC/s (Giga multiply-accumulates per second). The APU offers object identification, deep learning facial recognition, AI and AR application enhancements.  It is 2X more efficient than GPU for battery-efficient AI processing.

Helio P60 supports common AI frameworks including TensorFlow, TensorFlow Lite, Caffe, Caffe2, custom third-party frameworks and more on the way including ONNX support, and at the API level standard Google Android Neural Networks API (Android NNAPI), while the NeuroPilot SDK extensions allow developers and device makers to bring their code closer-to-metal for better performance and power-efficiency.

Compared to the previous generation P series, the Helio P60 is up to 12% more power-efficient overall and up to 25% in highly demanding games, allowing you to play for much longer.

Camera (Photography & Video)

MediaTek Helio P60 can combine 24+16MP dual camera or single 32MP camera, with tri-core ISP and its hardware-driven high-resolution depth engine gives a 3X boost in depth-mapping performance, enabling real-time depth of field with 18% more power-efficient than the previous generation.

The chip includes a hardware warping engine used for electronic image stabilization (EIS); an anti-blooming engine preventing white-out; accurate face detection and intelligent scene detection. It can auto-detect and display, and record HDR images in real-time, allowing you to see exactly what you’ll shoot – with embedded auto-enhancements such as multi-frame noise reduction.
