Exynos 9820 specification
The Exynos 9820 is manufactured using an 8-nm processor from Samsung which is expected to give a 10 power boost and efficiency boost as compared to a 10-nm chip. The flagship phones from Samsung in the Galaxy range and in the note range contain the latest flagship processor from Samsung itself with the Exynos processor. Exynos 9820 is an octa-core processor, with three different groups of processors that run at different speeds. It includes two custom-designed M4 processors, two Cortex-A75 processors from Arm, four energy-efficient Cortex 855 cores.
Talking about the GPU, the Exynos 9820 comes with a 12-core Mali-G76 GPU which is expected to have a 35-40 increase in gaming performance as compared to 18-core Mali-G72 that we find in Exynos 9810, this is because the individual core in G76 is much more powerful than the individual core in G76.
Exynos 9820 supports LPDDR-4 (Low power DDDR-4) ram, it has LTE modem which can support 2 gigabits per second of download and, 316 megabits per second of upload.
There is a new media decoder in the Exynos 9820 which can support high end and fast video formats up to 8K 30 frames per second encoding and decoding, and 4K 150 frames per second encoding and decoding. There is also a 10-bit decode which can be used for HDR 10-bit display.
Exynos 9820 is accompanied by the inclusion of an NPU a Neural Processing Unit which can be used in conjunction with a camera for image detection and making the proper setting for taking a photo.

In the Single-core comparison the Exynos 9810 scores 3747 points and the Kirin 980 scores 3378 points whereas Exynos 9820 scores 4496 points, which shows a good percentage increase in the performance of the single-core.
For the multi-core performance comparison, the Exynos 9810 scores 8946 points, the Kirin 980 smashed that barrier of 10, 000 with 10,024 points, considering the overall performance gain of Exynos 9820 smashed that 10,000 barriers and get 10,287 points.
